Competition Rules

The Contest area is disclosed only on the day of the event. Only the few will be able to attend

Combat Area: A 8-meter diameter circle. Step outside, and you hand your opponent a point.

Combat Objective: “Strike first. Strike clean. Strike with power. Every point is earned by landing a valid hit on your opponent while stopping them from doing the same.

Victory Conditions:

  • The fighter with the highest score at the end of 4 minutes of valid combat, split into 2 assaults, wins.
  • 5-point lead? Instant victory.
  • 10 points total? Fight over.
  • Tie at the end? Sudden death. One round. No time limit. First clean hit wins.

Scoring: “Four judges. Four flags. Every valid strike = 1 point. The head judge makes the final call.

Valid Attacks: “You want to score? Play by the rules:

  • Your strike must land with the valid part of the weapon.
  • Rotating attacks must complete at least 180 degrees before impact.
  • Truss attacks? Allowed, except to the kneck
  • Step out of the combat area? That’s a free point for your opponent. Stay sharp.”

Invalid Attacks:

  • Weak, scraping, or barely-there hits? Not good enough. If it wouldn’t stop an opponent, it won’t stop the fight.
  • Simultaneous attacks? No points. Precision matters.
  • Trust attacks to the throat? Illegal.
  • Hits to the back of the head or spine? Out of play.
